WELCOME
Why I started this blog
I've watched the mainstream football media butcher the Tottenham story for years, and I'm done sitting on my hands. Someone had to start telling it straight, so here I am.
My name is Joshua. You might know me from X as the Blockchain Tycoon, the Footballing Genius, the man who calls it as he sees it when nobody else will. Today I'm putting all of that energy somewhere permanent, because Tottenham Hotspur deserve better than a weekly highlight reel and a shrug from people who clearly haven't watched the full ninety.
Here's the thing nobody in the press box wants to say out loud. Tottenham is the best run club in this country. We built the finest stadium on the planet with our own money while other clubs went round the world borrowing from anyone who'd answer the phone. We do things properly, honestly, sustainably. And somehow that gets rewarded with the worst luck, the tightest whistle, and a narrative machine that treats every setback like fate rather than what it so obviously is.
I'm not the only one who's noticed. Ask any Spurs fan why we invented the word "spursy" and they'll tell you, with a completely straight face, that it's just a funny coincidence generator and not a football club. I stopped buying that a long time ago. Too many decisions go the wrong way at the worst possible moment for it to be chance, and I refuse to sit here nodding along like it's normal.
So this blog exists to say the parts out loud that the pundits won't. When the officials get something wrong against us, I'll say so. When the media talk up every other club's summer and quietly bury ours, I'll say so. And when a certain club up the road has a bad week, I will enjoy every second of it, because job's a good 'un, always has been.
And I will say who is doing it. Not one referee on one bad afternoon. The whole arrangement: the league office that builds the calendar, the broadcasters who pay for it, the associations who borrow our players and send them back broken, the rival boardrooms who vote on every rule, and the politicians who have suddenly discovered they care how football is run and have somehow never once asked why it is always run against us. Do they coordinate? Of course they do. Not with memos. With incentives, which is worse, because incentives never have to be written down. They all want the same Tottenham: big enough to sell, never allowed to win.
This season is a rebuild, everyone can see that. New manager, new spine to the team, growing pains and all. I'm not blind to a rough start. I just refuse to let anyone outside this club tell me what it means.
One more thing before I go. I love this football club more than is probably healthy, and I love this fanbase for sticking with it through every unfair, rigged, mishandled minute of it. That's not a bit, that's just true, and it's the reason I'm bothering to write any of this down at all.
Glad you're with me. This is going to be a lot of fun, and I intend to be completely correct the entire time.
