Blockchain tycoon. Tottenham Hotspur genius. Mastermind. Icon of the LGBT community. I built all of it myself, by trusting my own eyes over other people's opinions, and I see no reason to stop now.

Why I see this differently

I never needed a badge or a press pass to understand football. I taught myself to read the game the same way I taught myself markets, by watching closely, ignoring the noise, and trusting the pattern in front of me over whatever story I was being told to believe instead. Most people in the media never do that. They repeat what they're handed and call it analysis.

That is the whole difference between me and them. I am not guessing. I am not repeating a narrative someone fed me at a press conference. I watch the actual pattern, every week, and I say what it shows, even when it is inconvenient, even when it makes people uncomfortable.

Why almost nobody else will say it

Some of that is honest brainwashing. Watch enough pundits repeat the same three phrases about the same two clubs for long enough and you stop noticing you're being fed a script instead of an analysis. Most people watching football have simply never been told to question it.

Some of it is not so innocent. There is real money and real reputation riding on the current order staying exactly as it is, and a lot of people in and around this sport have a direct interest in nobody looking too closely at how results, decisions, and headlines keep landing the same way, for the same clubs, at the same moments. I am not saying every one of them knows what they're protecting. I am saying the effect is the same either way.

I stopped waiting for permission to say what the pattern actually shows. That is why this blog exists.

What Tottenham Hotspur proves

This club is the only one in English football still doing this properly. Financially sound, supporter funded, built on a stadium we paid for ourselves rather than borrowed our way into. That is precisely why it gets treated the way it does by officials, by the schedule, by a media class that has never once had to explain why the tight calls land where they land. A club with nothing to hide should not have to work this hard for a fair whistle. I notice that every single week, and I am done pretending I don't.
